Terms of use

These terms apply to Sync Sentinel for GitHub & Jira ("the app") and its website, provided by Elektraset, s.r.o. ("we", "us"). Last updated: 9 October 2026.

1. Agreement

When the app is installed through the Atlassian Marketplace, the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use govern the purchase and licensing. These terms add the rules that are specific to the app. By installing or using the app you accept these terms on behalf of your organization.

2. What the app does

The app monitors the synchronization between GitHub and Jira Cloud independently of other integrations: it checks the connection, keeps a ledger of GitHub artifacts, compares it with Jira, explains problems, sends alerts and, when an administrator starts it, replays and publishes missing development information through its own provider. The app cannot change or repair the internal data of other apps, such as GitHub for Atlassian.

3. Your responsibilities

• Connect only GitHub organizations and repositories that you are allowed to connect, and keep the credentials that you give the app valid and least-privilege.
• Review a replay (use the dry run) before you publish data to Jira.
• Do not use the app to break the law, the GitHub Terms of Service or the Atlassian terms.

4. Availability and changes

The app runs on Atlassian Forge and depends on Atlassian, GitHub and (optionally) Slack. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change features; we will announce significant changes in the release notes on the Marketplace listing.

5. Data

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy. Your data stays in your Atlassian site; you keep all rights to it.

6. Warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We can end the service for the app with reasonable notice through the Marketplace listing.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer law of your country stays unaffected.
